Overall,Indians population shows a continuous upward trend over the period ,whereas Chinas population increases before declining ,with India overtaking China at around 2030 and remaining the most populous countr thereafter.
In 2000,China had a significantly larger population than India ,at nearly 1,25 billion compared to 1 billion .Over the next three decades,India’s population spike,reaching about 1,45 billion by 2030.During the same period ,China’s population increases more slowly and peaks at around 1,45 billion.
After 2030, the population trends change. China’s population reaches its highest point at about 1.45 billion and then starts to fall slightly, ending at around 1.38 billion in 2050. On the other hand, India’s population continues to increase steadily, rising to nearly 1.6 billion by the end of the period. Therefore, the difference between the two countries becomes larger.
