The diagrams show the changes that happened at West Park Secondary School from 1950 to 2010.
Overall, the school area became more developed over time. Many open spaces such as farmland were removed and replaced by buildings and facilities like a car park, science block, and sports field. The school building also became bigger.
In 1950, the area was simple. There were some houses on the left side, farmland in the bottom area, and a playground on the right. The school building was located on the right side near the main road. Most of the land was green and not many facilities were built.
By 1980, many changes had taken place. The houses and farmland were removed. A car park and science block were built on the left side. A sports field replaced part of the farmland area. The school building was changed into a main building, and the playground was still in the same place.
In 2010, the school continued to develop. The science block and car park remained, and the sports field and playground were still there. The school building became larger, showing that the school expanded over time.
