The diagram depicts how sugar is being produced from sugarcane.Overall, this process has a seven steps starting with the growing of sugarcane and lasty ending with drying and cooling of the sugar.

First,on large farms sugarcane are grown and after a period of 12 – 18 months it would have fully matured ready for harvesting. In this case depending on the farm size we have two ways of harvesting ,one is by use of heavy machines the cut the sugercanes and load them in trucks and second we have use of human labour who use machetes to cut it for easy transportation.Thereafter ,using trucks the sugercanes are transported to the factories where they are subjected into continuous crushing to separate the juice from the cane.

Moreover ,the extracted juice are then filtered by use of a special seive to end up with a purified juice.Subsequently, the juice are placed in large metal tanks which is the put over a certain degree of heat to evaporate it to make syrup. With time ,using a centrifuge sugar crystal is separated from the syrup.Lastly, sugar crystals are cooled and dried ending with a fine sugar ready for parkanging and transportation to various markets.
