The layout demonstrates development of Chorleywood village located close to London and number of citizens are increased since nineteenth century especially since 1868. The period is between 1868 and 1994.
In general, village has underwent several reconstructions particularly in transportation way. There are four roads and some of them are changed during that period. According to map, there three categories of road such as main roads, motorway and railway. Each of them are established by years. In some period of time the population is spreaded across lands.
Predominantly, in 1868 the main way of transportation were main roads. Additionally, a main roads are still exist. After that in 1909 was established railway that cross Chorleywood station. When railway is opened the large number peolpe moved to that areas between 1922 and 1970. Final reconstruction was building of motorway in 1970. Motorway is played crucial role in development of village because it leaded to growth of citizes along side that road.
In conclusion, each road that established has impact to population of Chorleywood. At initial it was only diminish part of land that covered by people. Railway and motorway expand the population area.
