The map illustrates the transformations that occurred in the town of Rivertown over the thirty-year period from 1990 to 2020.
Overall, Rivertown underwent a significant transformation from a semi-industrial and agricultural area to a more sophisticated residential and commercial hub. The most notable change was the replacement of farmland and small-scale houses to with a large residential zone, along with the conversion of the factory into a shopping center.
In the northern part of the town, the farmland and the small cluster of houses from 1990 were completely demolished. By 2020, the had been replaced by much larger residential area. Additionally, a new park was developed in the eastern edge of this housing zone, providing more green space to the local residents.
South of the river, vital redevelopment took place. The factory that stood in the southeast corner in 1990 was converted into a modern shopping center. While the original park southwest remained, it appears to have been expanded or well-maintained, as the town shifted its focus from industrial production to commercial and leisure facilities.
