The pie charts illustrate the percentage of timber and world forest abundance in five zones.
Overall, the proportion of world woods in North America was higher than other regions, while the opposite was true for the figure for woods in Asia. In addition, timber in North America accounted for higher percent, whereas timber in Africa stayed the least place.
For North America, the percentage of forest abundance was a quarter, while timber made up 30%. For Africa, the proportion of trees was 27%, which was three times as high as timber at 9%. In South America, world forest placed 18% of land. By contrast, timber levelled off 20%.
In Europe, the figur for trees was 16%, compared to the percentage of timber at 23%. Asia is the last zone in the pie chart, the proportion of world forest abundance consitituted 14% which was not nearly as high as the percentage of timber.
