It is widely believed that medical services should not be run by profit-making companies, because good health is important to everyone. No, the disadvantages of private health care do not outweigh the advantages.
Looking at drawbacks, it is clearly that not everyone can afford private medical treatments. And chances to get an effective treatment for anyone is deacreasing, because if there are more private clinics there is a potential risk that mostly skilled medicals will move there. For example, this is a common thing in Kyrgyzstan because they have lack of public clinics with a proffessional doctors, people are afraid to get a bad quality of therapy if they go to a public clinic.
However, it does not mean that companies should not open private clinics. This is because public clinics do not offer good salary for medicals, compared to the profit-making companies. Doctors often complain about salaries in the public clinics, so if they have a chance to rise their income they have an option to work as a personalized medical. For instance, my brother worked as a dentist in public clinic for a while, he worked hard as much as possible, he couldn’t afford to buy even a winter coat, but as he changed his place of work to the private clinic he became even happier than before.
To conclude, despite the fact that everyone needs affordable good therapy, doctors also need affordable and better life.
