Some people doubt whether one language should be invented for international communication. I believe, this new language will be convenient for people and capable of strengthening connections. However, problems such as erosion of traditions and complex transition do outweigh benefits.
On the one hand, the new language will provide convenience for people of all nations. If done so there will be no problems such as language barriers and people will spend their time on something more important instead of learning foreign languages. As a result, spheres such as education, business will become easier to learn for different countries. Additionally, the new language can connect people. People can get closer if there is something common between them, whether they are fans of the same football team or they have similar music tastes. Therefore, people can strengthen relationships by just speaking in one language.
On the other hand, this phenomenon can lead to certain problems such as cultural erosion and difficulty of transition. If there is a single language in the whole world, all cultures will stop being unique. People’s upbringing is based on their national languages, since they grew up listening to their parent’s speeches or watching movies in their mother tongue. Thus, every nation has its original tongue and mentality. Therefore, the new language will vanish every nation’s originality by making countries speak in a single tongue. Secondly, some difficulties may occur during implementing of the new language. There are tons of documents that needs to be translated to the new language and some people may not accept to learn this new language. As a result, it will take a long time to establish this language.
In conclusion, although there are some benefits of implementing the new language such as convenience and strong bonds, some problems may occur such as cultural erosion and difficulty in transition.
