Dear Sarah,
I hope you are doing well, I am writing to tell you about disastrous road trip we faced last week. Me and my husband were travelling to the magnificent historic Nizwa fort on a Toyota Camry car. But the things did not go as we hoped.
Although, we left early in the morning from Azeba, Muscat, visualising the scenic views of coastline and desert. On passing for about half way around 50 km, the radiator of the car heated up and suddenly the car stopped making a loud grinding sound on the remote stretch of the national highway. Both of us lost the mobile signals to call for the roadside assistance.
After waiting for an hour, a local truck driver passing by, stopped his truck and gave us a tow. He pulled our vehicle to the nearby service station. Luckily, the mechanic was successful in finding the spare part from the neighboring centre. And we got it fixed for a huge amount. It took around 3 hours to get the vehicle repaired.atlast we were able to continue our journey.
It was very stressful situation and thanks to the local’s who helped us to overcome the problem.
I will catch up over coffee soon.
Best regards,
Asifa
