The diagram describes the changes that had occured at hospital which is located along the main road starting from year 1960 till year 2000. In these years several changes can be observed, and area near the hospital was subjected to changes by their designation.
First, at the beginning year of 1960 when Queen Mary Hospital was constructed, it had a hospital building of squared form located at the right top side of the area near to the main road. The shopping centre building is just right across the hospital building if we split the area vertically in the center. At the bottom of the area, next to the shopping centre the farmland can be observed indicated by green color. Between the hospital and farmland buildings, the car parking for the prescribed area is demonstrated. To go further in the development of an area of discussion, 20 years ahead from construction, an area had undergo significant changes in terms of designation of the buildings. The farmland in previous had transferred to the nursing school, while area of the shopping centre had been split into two, and two corresponding buildings of the cancer center and pharmacy were built. After the next twenty years from the 1980s, the changes had been kept to be done. It can be visualized that the area of the car park indicated by the grey color had decreased, and a half of the previous initial car park area was given to nursing school. Moreover, the area that previously was designated for a nursing school in 1980s was changed to serve for the cancer centre, adding up that area to the previous smaller part located along the main road.
In summary, the area of a Queen Mary Hospital that had started to be constructed and designed at 1960s had undergone significant changes during a 40 years period span.
