The two maps illustrate how a bookshop has changed between 2000 and the present day following redevelopment.
It is noticeable that the book shop has undergone significant changes, including the addition of more facilities such as a cafe and seating areas for visitors and different genres of books are now available in the shop.
In 2000, there were two genres of books displayed in the shop. Many fiction books were displayed along the left side of the entrance and some were opposite to the entrance while non-fiction books were located near the right corner. Three small bookshelves were arranged in parallel in the centre of the shop. Travel books and newly released books were carefully positioned near the shop entrance while the service desk was at the right corner near the front door.
Nowadays, many diverse novels have been added. A variety of different genres is available in the shop and the non-fiction section has now been relocated to the opposite side of the entrance. Meanwhile, the former non-fiction section has now been replaced by a small cafe to accommodate customers. In addition, more tables have been added to the center , the place where bookshelves related to art, hobbies and cookery were situated. Papers that contain travel contents and new books remain in the same location as as well as the service desk.
