Band 5+: Children spend most of their time watching TV and playing video games rather than being physically active and creative. What are the causes of this trend, and how can it be solved?

In social media, kids started to spend a lot of time watching TV and playing video games, due to this they are not physically active and creative. This essay will analyse the causes of this trend and purpose solutions.

This problem has two causes, which are connected with society. Firstly, dopamine addiction from technologies. Children became addicted with fast and short dopamine. They used to getting short dopamine hit, due to watching TV and playing games. For instance, in YouTube have a lot of videos for children, and all of them are colorful. Addiction steams from bright colors ,because, colors give them little dopamine. Secondly, the primary driver of this trend is parent. If children cry, guardian will give the phone to calm down them. It is becoming social norm. It usually works, but in future children will have a big problems with addiction from social media. As a result, technology is growing every year, and also it threatens mental health.

This issue can be solved in several ways. First, if children allready have dopamine addiction, they should visit a psychologist. Nowadays, psychologists around the world explore addictions, and dopamine addiction is one of the major problem. Secondly, parents should decrease the amount of time children spend on electronic devices. Instead of giving them phones or video games whenever they cry or feel bored, parents can inspire them to play outside, read books, or take part in creative activities such as drawing. Do this things can be hard, but it will be help in children’s formative years and in the future.

In conclusion, children are becoming less physically active and creative mainly because of technology. However, with support from parents and psychologists, this problem can be alleviated.
