The maps give information about how mountainous area had changed after the construction of hydroelectric power dam nearby.
Overall, the area experienced substantial developments, with the river being converted into a lake and several energy-generation and tourist facilities being added. It is also evident that these developments resulted in the disappearance of the leafy environment.
Focusing first on the 1980 layout, there was a river running trough the mountainous area, with village and farmland to the east and the woodland area located in the north. The ancient structures occupied the space further in the forest, where rare plants and animals could be also found.
Since then, the site had changed dramatically, the most important of which include the removal of the woodland in the north to accommodate a big lake which was created by damming the river. While the village had been moved closer to the dam in the south, a newly built hotel was in its place. Other alterations include the introduction of boats on the lake, where fishing activities were also available.
