Band 7+: Some people prefer to live in a quiet place, such as the countryside. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place do you prefer to live in and why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

There are many different reasons why people prefer to live in a small town, while others prefer a big city. Personally, I prefer living in a big city because of the opportunities it offers.

To begin with, the main thing for me is more education opportunities. It is easier to get a high-quality university in a big city without having to relocate to another area. Moreover, you have a lot of choices. For example, large cities usually have more universities, private schools and international programs. For me, it is very important that university has English programs because smaller towns often offer only programs in the local language.

Another significant reason is career opportunities. In big cities there are a lot of global companies and the chance is higher that you can have a well-paid job. In addition, you can choose from a wider variety of career paths. This can be seen in the fact that many qualified specialists choose to move to large cities because they can find better jobs and more opportunities for career growth there.

In conclusion, I would say that a big city is more suitable for ambitious, goal-oriented and competitive people who want to achieve success and personal growth. However, big cities are not for everyone, some people prefer to live a calm and comfortable life. For such people, small towns may be a better choice.
