The line graphs illustrates changes in the number of telephone subscribers across two different categories in Africa from 1994 to 2004.
In general, both ‘fixed’ and ‘mobile’ showed only rise duing the years. While mobile subscribes recorded dramatically rose in the final years, by contrast, fixed line gradually increased in all the given years in Africa.
At the beginning of the period, ‘mobile recorded 0.06 the lowest figure of subscribes between both line graphs in the given nation. This was followed by a gradual growth from 0.06 to nearly 1 in the year 1999, and having rapidly rose to 8.8 per 100 inhabitants by the end of the period, and reached a peak level of subscribes among all the given years.
By contrast, ‘fixed line’ showed the highest figure of subscribes in 1994, at 1.7, and this trend a steadily increased from 1.7 to 3.1 in Africa by the end of the period.
