The line graph illustrates the number of fixed line and mobile telephone subscribers per 100 inhabitants in Africa around 10 years from 1994 to 2004.

Overall,Mobile telephone users stood at approximately 0.06 in 1994.At this point, mobile telephone subscribers began to increase significantly until 2000 and then icreased dramatically and reached its the highest level. Fixed line subscribers remained constant during whole period.

By 1994, mobile telephone subscribers started to increase steadily . The trend showed similar changes between 1995 and 1997. After this point , the number of subscribers rose gradually and reached approximately 1. The trend remained unchanged before icreasing sharply in 1999.During 1999 and 2004 , the upward trend went up and peaked at 8.8 in 2004.

Fixed line subscribers showed stable changes over the whole period. It stayed at 1.7 and showed similar changes until 1998.Then the trend began to increase gradually and reached it’s highest level around at 3.1 in 2004
