Overall, if we take the four countries in combination, it is clear that all categories showed an upward tendencies, except for Afghanistan. Moreover, although Afghanistan labourers made up largest percentage initially, US and stood out by demonstrating an exceptionally higher shares in the final years.
US and Korea have identical trends from 1985 to 2000. Starting the period with around 45%, the figure for US workers rose steeply to a chart high of almost 70% in 2000 before fell to approximately 60% in the final years. Even then, it became dominant among lol categories. Similarly, the share of Korea employees grew gradually from 20% to nearly 40%. Despite this continuous growth, the figure for Korea did not any downward trend.
Another notable feature is that although France dropped from 40% to almost 30% in 1990, it significantly manged to rise, reaching its peak in 2000 at merely 60%. In terms of Afghanistan, it’s numbers started at more than 30% at the start, and rose to nearly 40% in 1995, nevertheless its share experienced sharply decrease, with almost no women working in 2005.
