The line graph delineates the proportion of women equipped with a job in four different countries for the interval 1985-2005.
Broadly speaking, the USA consistently had the highest employment rate for women, while it was lowest for Korea until 1995. After 1995, Afghanistan had the least percentage of females with a job.
For the first 5 years the proportion of females employed dipped by 10% for France, and in the next half decade it climbed quickly to almost 50% in 2000. After 2000, the employment rate remained stable for France. In contrast for the first decade (1985-1995) the percentage of women with a job increased gradually to approximately 35% for Afghanistan. In the next 10 years this value plummeted to almost 1% which was the least among all four countries throughout the interval.
Moreover, the proportion of women who were employed in the USA increased steadily from almost 45% in 1985 to more than 60% in 2000.It then dipped to settle at approximately 55%. Similarly, the percentage of employed females in Korea climbed gradually from 20% at the start of the period to almost 35% in 2000. During the next 5 years (2000-2005) it gradually increased reaching close to 40%.
