Today, the number of flights is rapidly growing because of the development of tourism in most countries, affecting air pollution and destroying environmental areas. These problems should be addressed through scientific methods.
One of the significant issues, caused by growing number of flights, is pollution of air. Petrol, which is used for planes, creates polluting gases, such as carbon dioxide. These gases pollute air; additionally, as a result of using a large volume of petrol, the concentration of greenhouse gases increases. Moreover, a growing demand for more flights might lead to the construction of new airports around towns, where ecotourism is developing, removing habitats of local flora and fauna. As it is known that an airport requires a large area, replacing the forests or other green lands. It causes destruction of the natural habitats of animals and plants, resulting in their movement or death.
The challenges may be handled through scientists’ work. It will be beneficial to keep the atmosphere clean, if other types of air transport are invented, which do not use fossil fuel. Instead, eco-friendly fuels should be created. Therefore, scientists should be involved to the process of planning of airports. They can identify the precise territory for building, taking into account that there should not be a negative effect on animals and plants.
In conclusion, huge number of flights may cause an increase in air pollution and the removal of animals and plants habitats. By inventing eco-friendly air transports and using scientists’ analysis on airport project can minimise these problems.
