As globalization has reached its peak in modern innovations. Humanity has learned its ways to adapt to current rising technological advancements and wherein people mostly rely on various devices and tools on a day-to-day basis and as a form of leisure. While it can be argued that, the use of such innovations can possess positive and negative outcomes. From my perspective, technology does more harm than good to mankind.
With technological advancements, several innovations have opened its doors to avenues for learning and opportunities, enabling people to freely develop their skills and knowledge. Additionally, it enables individuals to maintain connections regardless of the geographical distance. For instance, the usage of social media platforms such as Facebook, Messenger and Instagram as a medium for communication and express feelings and emotions without restrictions. Google serves as an access tool for information in exploring interests, curiosity, plans and expands more knowledge.
Nevertheless, constant developments came with people’s growing reliance on technologies which causes a great threat to life-long activities. It became a convenient approach, hindering people in maximizing their personal duties and skills needed to sustain life. To illustrate, certain groups of people such as students, office workers and teachers depend on technology to provide an effortless way to facilitate tasks which disrupts originality, uniquiness and creativity. Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence possesses potential risks in replacing certain roles performed originally by one individual.
To my mind, technological advancements greatly affected humanity in every aspect which can be of good use. However, there are certain probabilities that such innovations can pose a greater risk than benefit regardless of how people will take advantage of it.
