The following graph demonstrates data regarding individuals using various means of communication globally, namely landline, cellular phone, internet, fixed and mobile broadband from 1998 to 2008
Overall, it is obvious that the figure for cellular took the majority, while that for mobile broadband was the lowest. It is also quite clear that the amount of customer using fixed broadband and Internet service witnessed an upward trend, while the figure for landline service just fluctuate around 16 over the research period
Starting from 5 in 1998, the number of people who used cellular phone service grew sharply to its peak, at approximately 60 in 2008, and was by far the highest. However, despite having a same start with fixed broadband, the figure for mobile broadband was the lowest at 0 in 1998 and only 4 in 2008.
Meanwhile, the customers of fixed broadband and Internet service rised from 0 and 3 in 1998 to nearly 5 and 20 in 2008, respectively. In contrast, the figure for landline service remained almost unchanged, from 15 to 17.
