Overall, in all four years,the two countries with the highest quantity of phone owners per 1000 are Singapore and Brunei Darussalam . Those Lao PDR and Myanmar, in comparison accounted for the smallest proportion.
Singapore represents the largest segment of the number of the landline telephones per thousand in both 2000 and 2002, at about 460 and 458 per thousand. Then this proportion dropped marginally to 440 per thousand in 2004.The proportion of Brunei Darussalam , firstly remained about 250 per thousand in 2000 and 2002, However it falls down slightly to around 230 per thousand in 2004.
The proportion of the quantity of phone owners in Philippines varied between 75 and 100 per thousand, While the proportion of these in Vietnam showed the increase from 25 per thousand to approximately 50 per thousand over the period. By contrast, in any year, the remaining countries each contained no more than 100 per thousand
