Many museums all around the world have admission charge, while few museums are free to visit.Generally, ideas about pros and cons of museum’s admission charge are devided as to whether it could be a kind of contribution for relevant organisations, furthermore, most people do not consider free events as valubale activities, or museums are national herritages of every country so they should be free to use. In my eyes, it is more advantageous to pay at least a less amount of money to visit museums.
On one hand, some believe that as the responsibility of maintenace and repairments of museums and their objects is on government shoulders and it requires a significant budget, there should be admission charge for museums to meet these financial needs. Besides, they are of the opinion that the principal idea of majority of people is that the more they pay for an activity, the more worthwlie and valubale it is. If they can enter museums for free, therefore, they might not be aware of its importance.
On the other hand, there is a belief that museums are the noticable part of every country’s national herritage, hence the public should be able to visit them for free. Moreover, if there were no payment for visiting museums the number of visitors would also increase, which could help people to broaden their horizon about their history and culture.
On the whole, although some museums are free to visit, it could be more advantageous for both governments and the public to pay admission charge to visit musuems. It is helpful not only to address some finacial obstacles, but also to influence the public opinion in terms of visiting museums value.
