The bar chart illustrates the amount of mobile phones sold worldwide by five various brands namely Samsung, Apple, Nokia,LG and ZTE over a 4-years period, starting from 2009.
Overall,it is apparent that sales of mobile phones by Samsung, Apple and ZTE increased while reverse was true for other two brands LG and Nokia . Of a particular note is that use of the Samsung remained as a brand with it is highest.
In the first year (2009), Samsung and Nokia sold approximately 230 million and 450 million mobile phones respectively. Figure for the number of mobile phones sold by Nokia fell by about 200 million units in 2013, while Samsung was reported rise by a similar number. In 2013, Samsung reached a peak 450million units and had become the market leader.
The other three selling mobile phone brands from 2009 to 2013 were ZTE, Apple and LG. In 2009, ZTE, Apple and LG companies sold about 50 million, 25million and 125 million mobile phones respectively. Following that LG saw decline around 40 million units while costs of Apple handsets climbed to 150million units. Figure for purchase of ZTE phones rose only minimally in 2013.
