As the advancement of the internet enable ordinary people to access huge information, some people believe that the internet can replace museums by offering a considerable amount of knowledge as much as museums. In spite of that, I argue that museums are imperative in storing and managing their works in suitable conditions.
It is commonly known that as the internet have piled up huge amount of information and knowledge along with technological development, it has been possible to search valuable knowledge without considerable efforts. For example, people can easily look for images of priceless statues and artworks that prohibited people from accessing with their eyes as well as knowledge associated with these works. Therefore many people believe that the internet space can replace museums, making museums needlessly due to increasing information accessibility.
Even though the internet have as much information as museums and visitors in museums have significantly decreased, the museums have been protected by the government. This is because museums play a crucial role in keeping the most precise works to pass exact truth and value for future generation. For instance, many national museums have their own strict rules to manage their works to keep them in originial states since many works including paintings and stautes are substantially influenced by conditions such as humidity and temperatures. Therefore, it is evident that museums serves as the crucial space for conserving historical and art works.
In conclusion, people believe that many museums will be dissappeared as people can experience a lot of works in museums without visiting in reality due to the convenience offered by the internet. However, I do not support this idea because museums are needed to protect historical evidence associated with their works.
