It is true that several countries should concentrate more on skills and vocational training for practical work, rather than on university education. From my personal standpoint, I completely agree with this view. There are 3 major reasons why nations need to fund vocational skills courses.
Initially, the workforce should be trained more through vocational skills courses and classes to boost the quality of the labor force. For instance, in agriculture, the output of milk products is developing to be exported overseas because the farms really ensure the quality due to the professional knowledge of farmers and technology. Therefore, they have the capability of doing manual work better and countries decrease the lack of skilled laborers and unemployment.
Furthermore, the ratio of workforce in society has a decreasing tendency due to upgrading higher academic levels through professional training, which attracts more investment from oversea and global companies. Consequently, the nation develops finance and economy sustainably. For instance, in case the workforce meets the demand of the job market, the number of unemployed will decline. Besides, society can go down the ratio of social evils.
There, university courses take both time and a huge amount of money from the learners. Also, they require higher academic levels in a specific field, which is only suitable for someone who has academic capability and finances. Besides, through vocational courses, the workforce can be trained in both social and individual skills.
In summary, I totally agree that the government should invest in vocational training for practical work for their own workforce, rather than on university education in order to develop economy.
