The line graph gives detailed information about how many people visited three European areas from 1987 to 2007.
From an overall perspective, it is clear that there was an upward trend in the number of overseas visitors in all given areas. Meanwhile, the coast visitors made up the largest rate over the period.
Initially, in 1987, the number of people who visited the coast was by far higher than other areas with 40,000 people. The mountains and lakes visitors made up only 20,000 and 10,000 respectively, which were two times lower than the coast visits in this year. After 15 years, the former witnessed a slight rise, reaching to 60,000, while the latters saw some fluctuations, where the lake visits rose dramatically and reached its peak with more than 70,000 people. Moreover, the rates of mountain visitors remained stable, ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 visitors. The number of visitors accounted for 70,000 and 55,000 in the coast and the lakes respectively at the end of the period. It’s apparent that tourists mostly preferred to be on the coast rather than being in other places.
