This road currently runs from northeast to southwest, passing over Brampton Road, which is connected to both Ring Road to the east and A1 Road to the west. The northern stretch connected to A1 will be kept, but connected directly to Brampton Road with a new roundabout at junction instead. The southern stretch, however, is removed completely, and a new A14 road will constructed in the southern part, allowing traffic to go from the central Ring Road to the south of A1.
Further development can be found in the airfield, which is located at the northern end of A1. This area will be transformed into an industrial zone, and railways will be extended into this part of the town, facilitating activities there. In contrast to these changes, the town center, the Ring Road surrounding it, and the nearby built-up area with homes and shops will be kept the same
