Overall, average income of an average UK family witnessed a moderate decrease while their spending on food and clothes marginally increased. In addition, fruit and vegetable and dairy products increase slightly whereas other products reported a contrasting pattern while other food remained the same
Regarding the income and spending on food and clothes, an average family income decreased to 25000 while their spending on food and clothes witnessed a small rise of 1000 in 2013.
Concerning percentage of products an average family bought , fruit and vegetable recorded a slight growth by 4% in 2013. Similarly, Dairy products increased to 16%. By contrast, meat and fish and clothes experienced a fall to 23% and 13% respectively. Finally, other food remained unchanged during entire surveyd period
