The two maps shown below depict the changes made to liver-ton docks since 1980. Overall, it can be observed that the map at the bottom shows the transformation of liver-ton docks into an urbanized area today.
To begin with, in 1980, three warehouses were built alongside the river, two warehouses in the north and one warehouse in the south. In addition to this, a crane was situated adjacent to the southern warehouse and another crane was placed between the two warehouses in the north. Four ships were docked in the river.
On the other hand, drastic developments have been made to the dock. Primarily, the three warehouses were reduced to two, wherein, the northern warehouse has been reconstructed into an educational centre and the southern warehouse has been converted into an apartment building. Secondarily, new establishments have been built. A sailing club has been constructed to the right of the educational centre and a hotel has been built in the south of the riverbank to the west of the apartment building.
