The line graph gives information about the quantity of waste materials produced by 3 companies namely A, B and C from 2000 to 2015, at 5-year intervals. Units measured in tonnes.
In general, the production of waste in companies A and B experienced a downward trend , while the opposite trend was observed in the remaining company C, over the period shown. Of particular note is that, in spite of being at the lowest level in terms of producing litter, the third company was the highest in the end of the span.
In 2000, the company A produced 12 tonnes of trash, which was the highest number on the chart. After a gradual decrease, this figure fell soaring to just over 8 tonnes in the end. A similar pattern can be seen in the company B, albeit at a lower level. This output rate accounted for 8 tonnes in 2000, a figure that then reached its peak of about 10 tonnes a few years later. Having returned to its initial place in 2010, this production level concluded the span by decreasing notably to 3 tonnes, remaining the lowest among other companies.
It was company C’s waste output that witnessed a clear rising trend throughout the duration. This figure was the lowest during the starting phase constituting roughly 4 tonnes in 2000, however, the number had seen a two-fold increase by the end of the given timeframe and eventually surpassing other companies’ production.
