The line graph provides information on total exports of clothing in China, European Union, USA and Asia(without China ) from 2000 to 2014.
Overall, China experienced a significant rise, overtaking European Union that were the leading country in the beginning of the year. Additionally, total exports of clothing in Asia decreased dramatically until 2004, while USA showed a marginal decline throughout the years.
Total import of clothing in European Union accounted for 32% in 2000, before experiencing a considerable decrease during the whole year, finishing at 21% in 2014. On the other hand, China’s clothing exports started at 14% in 2000. However, then the figure surged to whopping 36%, making it the leading country in 2014.
Regarding the lowest percentages, Asia was in the second place with 30% in 2000. After that, the figure then saw a marked decline to 18% in 2002. Despite falling sharply, it rose slightly during 12 years, reaching 20% in 2014. USA accounted for the lowest proportion in exporting clothes, with 11% in 2000. It then experienced a gradual decrease until 2008 (8%), before growing slightly to 9% in 2010.Moreover the figure then dropped to mere 6%.
