I do think that even with the negatives associated with advertising, there are still positives in modern society. Advertising related to important products, especially those related to medicine, can be necessary and can serve as proper information dissemination to concerned individuals. For example, here in the Philippines, we are prone to loss of vitamin A and iron, and through advertisements for food supplements that can enhance or prevent our deficiency anemia, we can address this issue. This could prevent anemia in society at large. So technically, if advertising is used more as a tool for information dissemination, it can be really important in modern society.
