The rise of low-cost airlines makes public an opportunity to commute around the world. Personally, although there are some benefits to folks, I believe that it brings some drawbacks to people and the environment.
On the one hand, reducing cost airlines can be seen as a positive way to improve accessibility of travel and economic growth. Firstly, for individuals, this trend means domestic and international travel is accessible to everyone, not just the rich and the corporate elite. For example, a family will pay an aviation company for 20 dollars to travel to another city in their country which will make them have memory experience and become close knit. Secondly, for the economy, the increasing availability of low cost airlines helps tourism development and the economy’s growth. Indeed, it attracts many people around the world to commute to many nations which have famous locations and historical sites.
On the other hand, despite the benefits mentioned above, I believe that the expansion of low cost is a negative development. Additionally, it can lead to some environmental problems such as environmental and air pollution which is a consequence of low cost as well as increase in tourism, especially healthy issues. For instance, Vietnam’s current pollution rate is being recorded at alarming levels worldwide which is affected by emissions from airplanes. Moreover, when people choose a low cost airline, meaning that they have to trade off with the service quality. In some situations, people have to face the phenomenon of delays in emergencies and discomfort in services such as seating and food when traveling on long-haul flights.
In conclusion, although the trend of low-cost airlines can bring positive things to the public and economy in the country, I believe that it is a negative development due to adverse effects on the environment and user experience.
