The given bar chart illustrates how a company ( enterprise = firm ) allocated the donation into six different kinds of charity comprising social welfare, education, environment, health, wildlife, arts between 2012 and 2014
Overall, it is obvious that social welfare was donated by far the most among six given sectors, whereas the opposite was true for arts. Additionally, all types of charity were registered ascending trends with the exception of education and environment throughout the period shown.
In 2012, the amount donated to social welfare dominated the company’s charity spending, with around 23 thousands of dollars, almost triple that of education and environment. Thereafter, all of these three sectors underwent a similar pattern with a rapid decrease to hit their lowest points in 2013 before bouncing back to approximately 24; 8 and 7 thousand dollars in 2014, following that order.
Regarding the remaining types of charity, donations to health and wildlife grew steadily throughout the provided time frame, as their respective figures increased from 6 and 3 thousand dollars at the beginning to 9 and 5 thousand dollars at the end. As for arts, the donation in this sector remained stable during the first two years at around 2,5 thousand dollars then went up sharply to 4 thousand dollars by the end of the surveyed period.
