Hobart also had a high percentage at around 62%. Brisbane and Adelaide had lower numbers, at approximately 55% and 49% respectively.
For instant coffee, Hobart had the highest percentage, with about 54% of residents buying it in the last four weeks. Brisbane followed closely at 53%, while Adelaide was around 50%. Melbourne and Sydney had poor figures, at about 48% and 46%.
Buying fresh coffee was the least popular choice in all cities. Sydney had the highest percentage for fresh coffee at about 44%, followed by Melbourne at 43%. Brisbane and Adelaide both had the lowest figures, at around 34%, while Hobart stood at about 38%.
In conclusion, visiting cafes was generally more popular than buying coffee, especially fresh coffee, in the five Australian cities.
