The diagrams illustrate the life cycle of the silkworm and process of producing silk cloth.
Overall, there were 4 stages in the life cycle of the silkwarm, whereas, the process of producing silk cloth contains 5 stages.
According to the diagram, the first stage of cycle begins with silkworm eggs which were laid by a moth. After ten days, these eggs turn into silkwarm larva which eat food like mulberry leaf and it continues for 4-6 weeks. After that period, they create silk thread and stay there for 3-8 days for creating a cocoon. At the final step, the cocoon became moth after lasting 16 days and the cycle continues.
In the second diagram, the production of silk clothes initiates with selecting relevant silk threads. Subsequently, they are boiled in the next stage. After boiling, the threads, which are 300-900 meters long are unwinded. In the next step, the silk threads are twisted, even weaved, for dying in the final stage.
