Overall, what stands out from the graph is that girls are more active in indoor activities than boys. Sports and going to the park are more popular boys, while girls prefer art and craft more.
Moving to a detailed analysis, the proportion of female participants who are interested in art and craft five times as high as that of boys, which is approximately 5% for the latter. While reading books is more popular among girls, which accounts for 18%, the rate of computer games is the same in both sexes. DVDs are interested in by girls more than boys by a narrow margin.
With regard to the pastimes which dominated by male participants (going to the park and sports), there is a big disparity between boys and girls in these activities. Most boys are involved in sports, at just under 30%, compared to 13% for girls. Going to the park ranks second for boys with a quarter and the proportion of this activity is just over 10% for girls
