Overall, the library has underwent significant adjustments. The most noticeable alterations have included the demolition of traditional amenities, and the introduction of some new facilities
By 1976, the only entrance accessed by stairs was located in the north of the library. Books and magazines zone occupied on the left-hand side of the entry, was positioned in the northwest, while two new books areas beside each other were established in the northeast corner of the diagram. Meanwhile, the western region was dominated by bookshelves and some empty rooms next to. There was also a library desk directly across from it to the east. Furthermore, the L-shaped bookshelves was built in the bottom southwest corner of the library, whereas the children’s book zone was situated on the opposite side to the southeast; parallelly, there was a restroom in the middle.
In the contemporary layout, the library experienced some considerable changes. The entry remained in its unchanged position, while books and magazines zone in the northwest has been replaced by a computer room which is convenient for looking for information through the internet quickly. Although a new books room by the entrance was retained, the other was demolished to make way for a wheeling access. The bookshelves belong to the western region have also been knocked down to build a coffee zone and some sofas for resting or waiting. The library desk has been located in the former position, while empty space in the heart of the library introduced shared area with circle table and square table alongside a lot of chairs surrounding. Meanwhile, the bookshelves in the southwestern region have maintained in original situation, and that has been true for restroom. However, children’s book zone opposite has had one part cut off on the top to create more space.
