There is a common belief among some people that young individuals should be required to have a full-time education minimum until they are 18. I completely agree with this thought because schooling is the best way to prepare future generations for solving problems accordingly and integrating into society.
Education is not only fundamental but also, a right, every child should have access to education and be able to pursue it further along. Going to school does not only help with writing abilities, numerical operations, or reading techniques, but it also improves our critical-thinking skills, by solving problems whether they are topic-related or social-related. For instance, when working in teams, complications may arise and this can put certain tension that can delay the accomplishment of the task. However, by finding an answer to these obstacles year after year, your problem-solving skills will improve, making sure that after 18 years, you are familiar with these kinds of issues and can solve them more easily and faster.
Furthermore, by being forced to expose yourself and work in teams, your social and psychological abilities will ameliorate because you are going to spend a lot of hours with them and will see their reactions, emotions, attitudes, etc. giving you a wider understanding of how can people respond to certain situations. A representative case is when a classmate gets mad at you. Initially, you could ignore the tensions that may arise, nevertheless, as time goes on, you must find a solution to the problem in order to get past that and work together again, so, you find a way to forgive and be forgiven (an essential ability in many jobs).
In conclusion, school should be mandatory for everyone at least until they turn 18, since, it helps increase and polish problem-solving abilities and social relations or psychological skills because by having to work in teams where conflicts, complications and different points of view are common, you are forced out of your comfort zone and must deal with all of these situations alone to succeed and complete the task, making you more prepared when going to work or contributing to society.
