Agriculture is the backbone of civilization. Whereas, there is an ongoing belief that even after many advanced technologies made in agriculture, there are many people around the world still staying hungry. This essay intends to analyze the reason for this situation and suggest some solutions to ameliorate the problem.
To commence, there are numerous compelling reasons for why people are suffering from lack of food. Firstly, nowadays, many families are suffering from poverty and they don’t have sufficient money to buy groceries. This also affects their health and results in chronic diseases. Furthermore, there are some youngsters who skip their meals, in order to get slim. For example, if a girl is obese, she tries to reduce her weight by skipping food, not knowing that it will affect her digestive system and results in ulcers. Moreover, some sort of workers stay hungry because of work pressure and lack of time to eat food.
Conversely, there are few solutions for this problem. To begin with, introduction of break time refreshments and distribution of free meals to all workers around the world, which can keep them active and fight against hunger. In addition, the government has introduced many schemes such as mid-day meals, noon meal programmes and so on, but some people from rural areas don’t have much knowledge about this. Therefore, educating village people about such schemes are indispensable.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that there is a causal relationship between the hunger and health problems. Eating at least two times a day is needed to lead a happy life. And also I believe that fighting against hunger, is not only the individual’s responsibility but also the government’s duty.
