A glance at the charts below reveals us that on an adult education centre the percentages of students taking various courses offered in year 1985 differs from that of the current year.
While the students interest in Fitness and dance course did not change much over the years, the rage for IT courses took over with a storm surpassing the interest in other general courses. The percentages for the Art and the Modern languages courses decreased by 2%.
The Music appreciation and the Local history courses vanished completely due to the increasing demand of IT industry. The IT industry is developing exponentially which inturns have the students vying for positions or places everywhere so that they can keep up with the constantly developing technology.
The cookery has seen an increase in it’s percentage by 2% surprisingly.
The local history does not interest the generation today as the world is evolving towards a more technologically developed place. Soon enough the appreciation towards Arts and other such courses might dwindle down to nil.
