Nowadays, some people argue that learning calculating skills is not necessary because everyone has high-devices, and they can use them for calculating. While there is some truth to this point of view, I contend that learning math is a must requirement to be successful in life.
The idea of letting people use technologies for solving math problems can be justified on some grounds. People who share this view argue that studying math requires more time. Todays, some people work for making more money and they cannot pay attention to learn something like math or other skills. They can focus on only work, study or their family. It is also suggested that solving mathematical problems require mental activity. In the modern world, many people are suffering from stress, depression, and problems related to work or study. Therefore, they prefer to solve math difficulties using technologies.
Notwithstanding, I deem studying mathematic plays vital role in our lives. This is primarily because it improves working principles of humans’ cognitive functions. Many companies hire employees based on their level of mathematical knowledge. People who have better cognitive functions can achieve higher work efficiency. Moreover, technology fails to solve mathematical problems that require critical thinking. People face such problems in daily life, without basic mathematical knowledge, individuals may struggle with budgeting, investments, or even assessing risks in health and business.
In conclusion, despite making it easier for people to solve math problems, I am of the opinion that studying math and solving math difficulties without technologies can help achieving goals faster in life.
