Whether or not it is a suitable to take only a single day off every week is a topic of debate. It is my view that this statement is very disagreeable. I’ll start by outlining why I believe that taking a single day off reduces productivity at work and then explain how one day off is insufficient to unwind and mentally refresh.
There are two reasons why this is insufficient for one to unwind and clear their heads. Firstly, there are a number of tasks that can only be undertaken on weekends, such as household chores, grocery shopping, quality family time, and religious obligations. Secondly, with many tasks to complete this leaves little remaining time for oneself. For instance, visiting loved ones, a trip to the supermarket, cleaning at home, and attending church in the evening encompasses almost a full day. With inadequate time to unwind, perhaps an hour or two and then it’s time for bed.
On top of that, other additional factors contribute to more problems, on this occasion relating to work productivity. Individuals who possess such hectic agendas often will lack the required energy to start a new week since they are depriving themselves of proper relaxation. In addition to this, it is more cumbersome to maintain motivation when there isn’t any enthusiasm for the task one is performing, therefore, resulting in a reduction in work effectiveness and productiveness.
To sum up, after demonstrating how a single day off weekly is an insufficient period of time for rest and instead reduces ones job productivity. I, accordingly believe that the previously mentioned estimation is grossly inaccurate.
