I did a school project in 2019 when I was still in high school, and I did it with five of my friends. The project was to represent my country through painting. The most difficult part was actually representing what my country showed, the beauty of it, and the reason behind why I chose this aspect for the project. We all faced this challenge in coming up with an idea and actually representing the natural beauty or just the beauty of my country. We thought for a bit, looked around, and did a lot of research, but we couldn't come up with a decent idea. I asked one of my aunts, who is a bit older, and her first thought was rivers. I was baffled because why hadn't we thought about it? Our rivers are a very important part of my country. We are called a riverine country, and the fact that we ignored that part was really surprising. Rivers also tie our lives together. Every part of my country's people is somehow connected to rivers in one way or another. Through this experience, we learned that we sometimes need to take it easy, not just look around, but look at what is in front of us and find out the meaning instead of trying to figure out everything. So, I would say it was a very enlightening project. It was challenging, but I gained a lot of great experience and learned a lot about my country. I would say it was one of the most difficult yet promising projects I've ever done.
