Well, this skill is actually really unexpected for me. Last summer, I went to Arlen for two months for an exchange, so I learned English there. I attended an extensive course and was arranged in a host family. Under the same roof, I lived with an Italian roommate, so we became friends and went to school and back home together, having dinners and everything together. Her English was not quite advanced, so she might have had her Italian accent, which was hilarious. But anyway, when we were talking or chatting, we always mentioned topics related to language. Despite English, she knew Italian and Spanish, so she always taught me some Italian words, such as good morning and hello, those simple ones. I soon grew a huge interest in Italian because the pronunciation was just amazing, and the language itself is stunning. I started learning Italian on Duolingo after I returned to Macau, and I found it really interesting. I literally finished each chapter every day, and the process was so soothing. I feel like it's the prettiest language that I've ever heard. The process has been really good so far; I've been learning for almost three months, and the results have been great. I always chat with my other Italian friends, and of course, also with the one I lived with under the same roof.
