Today I’m going to talk about a skill that I learned and I’m still learning that I found was charging at first because it has a steep learning curve which is SQL or SQL. SQL stands for structure query language, which is a type of programming language used in data analysis and it is widely used among data analysts. It is also considered one of the most important toolkits that a data analyst must have regardless of your seniority level regardless of the type of data analysis job you’re doing. SQL is just really important in your career I would say. And let me walk you through why I decided to learn SQL. I was doing my bachelor in marketing during my undergrad. And then there was this defining moment when I decided to pivot my career toward data analytics. And after completing my bachelor degrees, I decided to enroll in the master of business analytics. And one of the skills that I was first introduced to was, of course, SQL. And from my, you know, during my study learning journey, the syntax itself is not difficult. It is really friendly for all levels of learners. but the difficult part of SQL is to understand the fundamentals of database and how tables are related to each other, how they are connected to each other, which is the most difficult part. And that comes with practice to understand how we structure the query. And I did a lot of practices and earn lots of experience during my learning journey.
