When it comes to the idea of a time when I decided to lie to protect someone else, let me share with you how I lied to protect my friend from her parents. My friend was struggling with her academic performance, and after receiving her exam scores, she could not meet her parents' expectations as she usually did. The situation started when we decided to meet for study sessions, but she wasn't able to show up, and her parents were looking for her. When they asked me where she was, I decided to say she was at my place studying. It was a big risk for me, but I knew she needed some space to sort things out because I could see that she was fearful and needed support during this challenging period. After telling that lie, I experienced a mix of emotions.
