When it comes to the ideas of a term when I decide to lie to protect someone else, let me share with you about the way that I lie to protect my friends from her parents. So my friend who was struggling with her academic performance and recently after having the exam score, she cannot meet up her parent expectations as usually as she did. So the situation starts when we decide to meet up for study sections, but she wasn’t able to show up and her parent was looking for her. When they asked me about where she was, I decided to say she was at my place studying. It was a big risk for me, but I knew she needs some space to sort things out because I could see that she was fearful and needs some support during this challenging period. After telling that lie, I experienced a mix of emotions. Firstly, I totally feel guilty for saying that with her parents, but I think it was the right choice at that moment to protect her, which can make her feel better without parents.
