A few years back when I was in university, one of my instructors pushed me forward for an art competition and I henceforward went with that idea that I can totally come up with something. We were all given this particular prompt and the brief that I was given required me to to make a microscopic or a warm eye view of something in our environment of the natural world. And this got me really stuck. Me as a human, I cannot empathize what it feels like to be nant in this world. And I was quite confused. And we had like one to two weeks in order to paint this painting. I was really compelled to quit. However, my sister was visiting me at that time. She was like, why don’t you like come for a walk with me or a hike. And I went with her and we suddenly reached this one very scenic area, which is Mari. And over there I stood at the side of a cliff and there were really tall pine trees surrounding me and as I looked up towards the sky I felt so small in this world. I felt like this tiny sentient creature trying to make my way through this dense forest. And I felt quite exasperated. And this feeling is something which I, it’s hard to put into words because it felt like the galaxy, I’m just a very small part of this huge galaxy. And that is where it clicked me, that is how a worm or ant feels like. And that is where my idea clicked and I started painting this painting and I made this flower field in which the flowers were hotter than the humans in it and I somehow got the work done and I did a pretty good job and I got a medal.
