I would like to talk about a turning point in my life that happened about a year ago when I was due to receive the first result of my SAT attempt. I prayed with heart, often staying up late and sacrificing sleep to study online, which left me physically and mentally exhausted. One day I took a taxi to the test centre, but heavy traffic brought me to a standstill. At that time I was quite angry; the feeling that washed over me was pure sadness. I was really anxious. Although I briefly thought about running, it was too far. By the time I arrived, the doors were closed. I was refused entry for being late. I was devastated and spent days replaying the incident in my mind. However, the incident that set me back became a blessing in disguise. Instead of giving up, I started again, prepared even harder, like an impostor. And every practice test and mistake brought me closer to my goal. Finally, I retook the SAT. I arrived early, composed, and did my best. I received a score beyond my expectations. I passed with flying colors, and the experience taught me that perseverance and resilience can turn setbacks into success.
